'Caledonia' ready to head 'The Manx Northerner' out of Douglas.  The lower headboard commemorates the the other MNR engines, No 1 'Ramsey', No 2 'Northern' and No 3 'Thornhill'. Nos. 1 & 2 were scrapped in 1923 and 1912 respectively.  No 3 survives on the island in private hands as IMR No 14. 'Caledonia' became IMR No 15.
